Today was Restart a Heart day at Harrogate Grammar School.
It saw an alliance of support from the Yorkshire Ambulance Service, Community First Responders, Harrogate Hospital and North Yorkshire Police.
Andy Brown, Assistant Headteacher, said:
Harrogate Grammar School students from years 7-9 took part in Restart a Heart Day 2019 on 16th October, demonstrating our commitment to our goal of creating a generation of future lifesavers.
Students were thoroughly engaged throughout and really valued the importance of what they were trying to achieve. They asked thoughtful questions about lifesaving and were enlightened by some true stories from the Ambulance staff. Harrogate Grammar School has two Public Access Defibrillators (PAD) providing lifesaving equipment in school and also increasing the number of PADs in the community.
