Yorkshire Water is partway through a £3million project to replace 6 miles of clean water pipes stretching from Beckwithshaw to Starbeck.
Yesterday (17 February 2019) the project introduced 3-way traffic control lights onto all approaches to the Prince of Wales round about, causing delays on the Leeds Road, Otley Road and York Place.
Otley Rd, Harrogate, UK
The traffic lights will remain in place until late March 2019. Delays are moderate during the day but are severe during rush hour times and it’s recommended to avoid the area.

Absolute disgrace, this work should be done 7 days and 7 nights a week until completed. It’s causing absolute mayhem in all directions.
You can put money on it by the end of March early April the water people will be digging the same road up.
Be nice to see a reduction in gas bills with these new wonderful pipes!!!
Your correspondent Paul (above) is right in suggesting that the work should be done on a more aggressive schedule. Pity he lets it all down by talking about a reduction in his has bill when it is Yorkshire Water doing the digging up..
