Harrogate police are appealing for witnesses following a two-in-one burglary at Ripley.
Overnight between Saturday 21 May and Sunday 22 May 2011, a blue Audi S3 was stolen from Scarah Bank cottages after thieves broke in through the front door of the property and took the keys to the vehicle.
The occupants who were asleep upstairs reported the incident when they woke at around 7.30am and found the door lock and been taken out.
Officers, who have been making house to house enquiries in the area and checking CCTV footage at nearby garages, are appealing for any witnesses to the incident to come forward.
Detective Constable Paul Groves, of Harrogate CID, said: “I am appealing to anyone who can help us locate the stolen vehicle or those responsible for stealing it to come forward with information.
“It was taken from a quiet village and anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area at the time of the burglary may have information vital to the investigation.
