Detectives investigating a two-in-one burglary in Tockwith are appealing for witnesses to help with their enquiries.
Sometime between 11pm on Monday 16 May and 2.50am on Tuesday 17 May 2011, offenders broke into a property on Lucas Road, before taking a number of items and leaving the scene in a blue Ford Mondeo belonging to the homeowner.
The suspects, who got in through a rear patio door, also took an Apple iPad, an iPhone, a Nikon digital camera and the keys to two other vehicles.
Officers are appealing to anyone who saw any suspicious behaviour in the area around the time of the incident to come forward with information.
Detective Constable Nicky Wright, of Harrogate CID, said: “To wake up and find your home has been burgled and your car has been stolen is obviously a very upsetting experience for anyone.
“I would appeal to anyone who can help the police trace those responsible for this incident to get in touch.
“Anyone who saw any suspicious activity in Tockwith at the time of the incident or saw a blue Ford Mondeo leaving the area in the early hours of Tuesday morning is urged to contact the police or Crimestoppers.”
Anyone who can help the police with their enquiries is urged to contact DC Nicky Wright, of Harrogate CID, on 0845 60 60 24 7, quoting reference number 12110079865.
