Four brave Ellis Bates employees took part in a sponsored abseil down the side of their Harrogate office building on Sunday 9th July 2017, to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society.
This year Ellis Bates are supporting the UK’s leading dementia support and research charity with a minimum fundraising target of £2,000. The company has a range of events spread out over the year to achieve this, with a group taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks in September.
Robert Simpson, Ellis Bates Group Director, said:
It’s great to support our chosen charity doing something different and daring, although being terrified of heights, I was happy to support from the side-line.
Rose Brown, a Financial Planning Assistant at Ellis Bates and one of the daring participants said:
I have always been petrified of heights so taking this on was definitely a personal challenge for me. It’s great to have the opportunity to raise money for such a good cause and was extremely happy when my feet touched the ground!
