Three teams from a Yorkshire free range egg producer that prides itself on encouraging people to enjoy the health benefits of eggs will be practising what they preach as they prepare to take part in the Skipton Triathlon for charity.
Eggs will be on the menu for the triathletes at Chippindale Foods ahead of the event on April 9 when they will be raising money for Yorkshire Cancer Research.
For many of the Chippindale team members it will be their first triathlon and organiser Angela Gill said everyone was looking forward to the challenge.
Angela said: With three teams involved there’s lots of camaraderie in the office and we’re all sharing training tips and recipes.
One of our objectives as a company is to encourage the nation to enjoy eggs by sharing recipes on our social media pages and we will be posting some of our favourite triathlon training recipes in the run up to April’s event.
Chippindale produces locally sourced “Yorkshire” free range eggs at its plant in Flaxby near Harrogate and supplies major supermarkets across the UK including Morrisons, Co-op, Sainsburys and Booths.
The Skipton Triathlon is expected to attract over 800 competitors and the Chippindale teams hope their efforts will boost their fundraising total for Yorkshire Cancer Research.
Angela added: Yorkshire Cancer Research is our charity of the year and the triathlon is one of a series of events which will raise money for this local charity throughout 2017
