North Yorkshire Police are investigating after a man was found injured in Harrogate.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said:
Enquiries are on-going to establish exactly what happened to the 37-year-old man between 12.45am and 1.50am on Tuesday (11 October 2016) in the Station Avenue/Queen Parade area of Harrogate.
This includes investigating his complaints that he was knocked down by a car which left him with a fractured ankle, as well as the theft of two mobile phones that were on the ground while he was laid injured and seemingly taken by two unknown men.
