North Yorkshire Police is hunting a registered sex offender who has breached the terms of his licence.
Barry Gibson, 55, (pictured) was convicted of a number of sexual offences, resulting in him receiving a life sentence in 2000. He was released on license on 26 November 2015 subject to a number of conditions.
On 6 May 2016 Gibson, who was living in the Boroughbridge Road area of York, failed to comply with a condition. An order was issued to recall him to prison.
He has links across Yorkshire, particularly in the North and West Ridings.
Members of the public should not approach Gibson, and should report any sightings of him immediately on 999.
