Harrogate’s newest Charter Standard football club New Park Bulldogs sealed their U12 Garforth League title.
They came with a 5-0 win at Horsforth St. Margarets with their 8th clean sheet of the season and their 8th win on the trot.
In only their second season the improvement from fourth last term has been excellent and a goal difference of 51 having conceded just 11 goals is testament to the players willingness to play as a team.
Having only lost one game all season the title was secured last week with 4 games to go and sights are now on the cup which continues in April away to Wrenthorpe.
Head coach Steve McCulloch said:
The players deserve this for their hard work in training and their teamwork in matches. We have no superstars just footballers. Thanks to our volunteer coaches and sponsors who shared our vision of a successful inclusive club putting the children first.
New Park Bulldogs are recruiting boys and girls this summer in all age groups from U8 to U12 but with the U12s going 11 aside next season they would welcome new players & volunteer coaches to strengthen the team.
