There has been a collision between a school bus a a lorry on the south-bound exit from the Empress roundabout in Harrogate.
Transdev have confirmed that although it was a school bus there were no children on the vehicle at the time.
The incident happened at around 8:16am on 16 March 2016 and caused extensive tailbacks in all directions to the roundabout.
Keith Roebuck, general manager for Transdev in Harrogate, said:
We can confirm one of our buses was involved in an incident on Empress Roundabout this morning. There were no passengers on board at the time, the bus was running out of service.
Our driver was taken from the scene in an ambulance and he is being checked over at hospital, at this stage we don’t believe he has sustained any serious injuries.
