Darley residents are putting their support behind re-establishing their local shop.
The Darley Sports Pavilion has been vacant for a year and includes a shop, café and post office counter facilities.
Located in the centre of the village that is partway between Harrogate and Pateley Bridge, the building will be fully kitted out and there and there will be an initial rent free period to help a potential business flourish.
The village is behind the initiative and have setup a steering group, the group will work with any business during its start-up and day to day running.

Darley is a large village and always had a shop until recently. This opportunity gives someone a chance to re-launch the village shop and set up a new café to serve the village and tourists in Nidderdale.
The fact that the village is sorting out the premises and kitting out the facility shows how well supported the project is.
There will be loads of support also from volunteers in the village to make sure the new venture become established quickly.
This is a great opportunity for any budding entrepreneurs out there, and a great bonus is the stunning location!

For the past year Darley has been without a shop or post office.
Many elderly people in the Village have had to travel to get their pensions and supplies.
The Village has lost an important hub, where people could leave notices and chat.
The village didnt miss it until it was gone. A new Shop & Post office would be very welcome.
