Spots were the theme at Brackenfield School on Friday as pupils raised almost £200 for Children in Need.
The school held their very own Bake-Off with a Children in Need spotty theme. Children brought to school their own spotty baked creations and made a small donation to enter the bake off competition. They were able to wear one spotty item as part of their uniform for the day.
Head Teacher, Mrs. Sowa was delighted with the response from the children:
The imagination and creative flare that has gone into these cakes has been absolutely amazing. I would like to congratulate every child who has entered. They will certainly make a big difference to so many children’s lives.
The charity day started with an assembly on role models and how they can help others. Mrs.. Sowa emphasised that just one small action (spot) can make such a difference to the world around us when combined with all the other actions (spots). All of the pupil’s actions together will make a difference, especially to Children in Need.
