Ripon Police are investigating an allegation of serious assault that has left an 18-year-old man in a critical condition in hospital.
The incident happened on the night of Saturday 10 October 2015 on Quarry Moor Lane, Ripon, but was reported to police earlier today.
Police have secured the scene on Quarry Moor Lane to carry out a full investigation.
It is alleged that the victim, an 18 year old man from Ripon, was assaulted and as a result was taken to Leeds General Infirmary where he is in a critical condition.
