A group of 14 sky divers took the plunge and jumped 15,000 feet out of a plane this week to raise funds for not-for-profit Harrogate Neighbours Housing Association.
The team completed the tandem sky dive at Hibaldstow airfield in North Lincolnshire to raise funds for a new minibus that will benefit the residents and tenants of the housing association’s two care homes, Heath Lodge and Greenfield Court in Harrogate.
The group, comprising members of staff, friends, relatives and suppliers to the housing association have so far raised £3,200 of the £6,500 target.
Sue Cawthray, chief executive of Harrogate Neighbours commented:
Congratulations to all the team on a fantastic achievement, both in terms of having the courage to jump out of a plane and reach speeds of 120mph, and to raise a great sum of money that will go a long way towards helping us fund our new minibus that will really enhance the lives of our residents and tenants.
