Further arrests in clampdown on Harrogate illegal drugs supply

Three further people were arrested in Harrogate yesterday (25 June 2015) following a drugs warrant at an address on Skipton Road. These arrest follower the 10, drugs related, arrests on Wednesday this week.

Harrogate Police officers and a dedicated Neighbourhood Support Team attended and recovered a large quantity of Class A drugs from the property.

A 19 year old man from Leeds was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply. A 39 year old woman and a 35 year old man, both form Harrogate, were arrested for being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs.

Sergeant Amy Hunter of Harrogate Response team said:

We are committed to making the county of North Yorkshire an even safer place for our residents. We are dedicated to disrupting criminal activity, and bringing those responsible to justice.

I would like to reassure the community that we take the supply of drugs very seriously, and will act on any information given to us about this. For those of you who are involved in the supply of controlled drugs in our County- it will be your turn next.
