Harrogate Town football club has announced additions to its board of directors, which broaden the club’s business scope and strengthen its ability to draw the club through to the ultimate goal of sustainability and long term growth.
Chairman, Irving Weaver, owner of regional house builder, Strata Homes is joined by newly appointed Managing Director Garry Plant who has strong business links in the Middle East and a career within the UK chemical and coating sector.
Ged Maloney appointed as Commercial Director has in recent years being successfully involved in the retail food industry and Angus Taylor, appointed as marketing and Media Director, runs his own national 6 a side football business, Football Mundial
They join existing directors Tad Nowakowski and David Bolton to form a strong commercial team to drive the club forward in its aspiration to climb to the next level of football.
Speaking about this landmark in Town history, Chairman Irving Weaver said: It’s a landmark in the history of the club in what is a momentous centenary year. The new board is focused on driving the club upward and onward in a sustained, practical and progressive way.
New managing director Garry Plant added: The business experience the new board members bring to the club is very exciting, the drive, the work ethic and the imagination of every member of the team is topped off by an experienced and driven coaching team lead by the first team manager Simon Weaver.
The club have also promised a raft of announcements regarding new developments at the CNG Stadium which would set the standard and mark out the clubs aspirations in a most determined and plain way.
