Detectives are appealing for information after an aggravated burglary in Harrogate.
It occurred at 9.50pm on Sunday 11 May 2014, at a house on Fulwith Mill Lane.
Three men approached the house, and one of them assaulted the man living at the address, on the driveway. They then entered the property before threatening man and his wife and stealing money, jewellery and mobile phones.
The burglars left in a small car similar in size to a Volkswagen Golf.
The man who lives at the house suffered a minor injury which did not require medical treatment. The woman was not injured.
The first suspect is described as white, around 5 ft 10in tall with a stocky build. He was wearing a dark grey hooded top and a jumper, which was pulled up to cover his face, dark grey sweat pants and trainers.
The second man is also white and slightly shorter at around 5ft 8in tall with a stocky build. He was dressed similarly to the first man.
The third suspect is described as being black, over 6ft with a stocky build.
Detective Inspector Pete Martin, of Harrogate CID, said: Although the residents of the house were not seriously hurt, the experience has naturally left them very shaken.
If you have any information which could help to identify the men responsible for this burglary, I urge you to contact the police straight away.
Burglaries of this nature are thankfully very rare and there is no need for residents to be concerned. However, uniformed officers will undertake extra high visibility patrols in the area as reassurance for the local community.
