Police are urgently trying to trace 58 year old John Pearson from the Loftus area.
He was last seen at his home address in Loftus at 6.30am today, and was wearing dark coloured tracksuit bottoms, a black wax type jacket with a grey sweatshirt underneath and black trainers. He is believed to have been driving a blue Mitsubishi Space Star Equippe registration number BJ51 BWA.
There is a suggestion he may have been in the South Bank area and possibly now moved into North Yorkshire area.
Police are particularly concerned as it is out of character for him to go missing.
Anyone who sees Mr Pearson is asked to contact Cleveland Police on 101.
People living in North Yorkshire area are also asked to contact police if they see Mr Pearson or have any details regarding his whereabouts.
