A Harrogate cancer charity has benefited thanks to a ladies shopping and socializing evening organised by a highly-successful fund-raising committee.
The Crystal Committee – who specialise in raising funds for small charities within the Yorkshire area – staged their latest event in aid of ABC Harrogate, After Breast Cancer Support Group, a charity that provide practical and emotional support for people whose lives have been affected by breast cancer.
Luxury lingerie brand Rigby & Peller hosted the evening at its new Station Parade boutique, whilst contemporary restaurant, The Food & Wine Place, donated and served fresh canapés and beverages.
Samantha Russell, Rigby & Peller’s Harrogate branch manager, said: We were delighted to offer our Harrogate store, which only opened earlier this year, as the setting for The Crystal Committee’s latest fundraising event.
ABC Harrogate is a wonderful organisation and I’m delighted that it proved to be a great success.
The Crystal Committee chair Joanna Fuller said: On behalf of the committee I would like to thank everyone who gave their support to the event.
With special thanks to Constance Grindrod of Connie’s Cakes Northallerton, whose show-stopping cake was the main feature of our raffle.
