St Aidan’s student wins Cambridge scholarship

After a four day interview Year 13 student Jack Spencer from St Aidan’s School in Harrogate has been successful in gaining an organ scholarship to Queens’ College Cambridge to study Natural Sciences.

He is currently an organ scholar at Leeds Minster and is taught at Leeds Cathedral.

Jack will take up his place at Queens’ College in 2015, as he plans to take a gap year, during which time he hopes to obtain an organ scholarship at another cathedral either in England or Australia.

Jack is following in his sister’s footsteps – she is currently studying medicine at St. John’s College, Cambridge.
