Police working to trace a missing Leeds man are now focusing their search on part of the Yorshire Dales.
Michael Tordoff-Brown, aged 49, from Wortley, Leeds, was due to appear at Leeds Crown Court on Monday for trial on sexual offences but failed to attend court. Officers remain very concerned for his welfare.
He had been in the Ambleside area of Cumbria earlier in the week but yesterday was traced to the area around Horton-in-Ribblesdale in the Yorkshire Dales.
His car, silver Renault Clio, was recovered from a car park there.
Horton-in-Ribblesdale is the traditional starting point for the Yorkshire Three Peaks Walk and the area is popular with walkers.
Mr Tordoff-Brown is described as white, about 5ft 10ins tall, with receeding, cropped dark brown hair. He was last seen wearing an orange T-shirt and jeans.
Anyone who has seen someone fitting his description in the area or who has any information as to his whereabouts is asked to contact West Yorkshire Police via 101.
