Harrogate fire crews were called to the Stray in Harrogate today (4 July 2013) at 12:08 following reports of a car fire.
Upon arrival they found a Reliant Robin car well alight and producing a significant amount of smoke.
The road was temporarily closed while the fire service extinguished the fire using two hose reel jets.
The owner was in attendance and was unhurt.
The vehicle was completely destroyed and there was some fire damage to a tree.
It is thought to have started due to an electrical fault.
