Molly Webster, Millie Howard and George Mills have been selected to compete for North Yorkshire at the prestigious English Schools Track and Field Championships on July 5/6th at Birmingham Alexander Stadium, the home of British Athletics. Only those competing at the highest County level are selected to compete and their qualifying times have to be amongst the highest levels of AAA graded times. To qualify at this level is exceptional and we are lucky at the Harriers to have so many gifted and determined athletes.
Molly Webster, selected for the Inter Girls 800M, has been the North Yorkshire Champion at 800M for four years running and this year she became the U17 Yorkshire Champion for the first time.
George Mills is the current U15 Yorkshire Champion at 800M and is selected for the Junior Boys 800M. Millie Howard, also selected for the Inter Girls 800M, was the U15 1500M North Yorkshire Champion in 2012 and has now moved to 800M being just 0.6 second behind Molly. All three were selected to compete in the English Schools Cross Country Championships earlier this year and are a credit to the club and their schools.
