Bespoke cupcakes have opened their first coffee shop on John Street in Harrogate.
The doors were opened on Saturday 5 March 2011.
Emma Trotter set-up Bespoke Cupcakes in 2009 initially working from home, but as sales grew, moving the business to a purpose designed catering facility. They now regularly receive orders for 100’s of cupcakes and have established themselves in a relatively short time.
Opening the coffee shop is the next step in developments and is already proving popular by selling both their own cakes, sandwiches and serving locally sourced coffee.
Setting up the business is all part of a personal journey for Emma too. Emma said “After my father passed away in May 2010 I wanted to take some sage advice he left me with, to start my own café, to have a real cupcake and coffee boutique to show off my talents.”
“I work really hard at my business and on the opening day I was in the new shop for 19 hours making sure everything was right”
“I was amazed and delighted with how many people turned up on the opening day and am sorry for selling out of cupcakes!”
Congratulations on the opening Emma – Great to hear such a positive business story. Look forward to popping in for a coffee and a cake!
