Police are appealing for a vital witness to come forward following a fatal road traffic collision in the Craven area.
It occurred at just after 1pm on Saturday 25 May 2013, on the B6479, near Horton-In-Ribblesdale.
The collision involved a black Suzuki motorcycle, which was heading towards Horton-In-Ribblesdale and was overtaking a tractor.
The rider of the motorcycle, a 42-year-old woman from the Bingley area of West Yorkshire, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
Immediately prior to the collision two other motorcycles had overtaken the tractor. The lead bike in this group who had not been riding with the other two did not stop at the scene. It is the rider of this bike, a black Suzuki ridden by someone wearing black leathers, officers need to trace.
Traffic Constable Ken Riley, of North Yorkshire Police’s Roads Policing Group, said:
If you were the motorcyclist riding the Suzuki, I urge you to come forward straight away as I believe that you may have vital information that could help with my investigation into this collision.
I also need to speak to anyone who saw the collision or saw any of the motorcycle prior to the incident.
Anyone who can help with this enquiry is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 2 and ask for Ken Riley. Alternatively information can be emailed to ken.riley@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk
