Following the bouncy slide incident on Sunday in Ripley, where 6 people were injured, Harrogate Borough Council have now taken over as the investigating authority from the Health and Safety Executive.
They have now placed an appeal for information, in particular witnesses and photographs.
A spokesperson for Harrogate Borough Council said:
As the responsible regulatory authority, Harrogate Borough Council will be carrying out the investigation into the incident with the inflatable slide at Ripley on Sunday, 28 April.
The council has already started talking to the key agencies that attended the incident including the Health and Safety Executive and the Police.
As part of the investigation, the council’s officers will be speaking to everyone involved, including the cricket club and the contractor who provided the equipment. They will be thoroughly examining the slide and its fixings to ascertain how this incident has occurred. Thankfully it is not believed that anyone was critically injured in the incident.
