The North Yorkshire Police recently attended an address in Northallerton following a report of a death.
A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said:
Police were called to an address on Springwell Lane, Northallerton at 3pm on Sunday 9 September 2012, following the report of a sudden death.
On arrival, officers found the body of a 27-year-old local man, who was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
We are not yet in a position to release his identity.
There are no suspicious circumstances around the incident and no one else is being sought in connection with the death.
A file is being prepared on behalf of the coroner.
