Harrogate police are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision in the town.
It occurred at 5.45pm on Thursday 30 August 2012, on Newby Crescent, involving a 6-year-old local boy and a silver Rover 75, driven by a 68-year-old man from Chepstow.
As a result of the collision the boy was taken to Leeds General Infirmary, with a serious head injury, where he remains in a critical but stable condition.
The driver of the Rover was not injured.
Traffic Constable Steve Gardner, of North Yorkshire Police’s Roads Policing Group, said:
If you witnessed the collision or saw either the young boy or the car prior to the incident, please contact the police straight away.
