Footballer Rio Ferdinand has been the victim of suspected credit card fraud in Harrogate according to his posts on Twitter.
33-year old Manchester United defender who has previously captained the England team, posted his annoyance on Twitter following having his card declined.
Rio Ferdinand posted:
That embarrassing moment when ya Credit card gets DECLINED….epic fail!
and then followed up with:
The bank said a FRAUD tried to make a ‘dodgy’ transaction in Harrogate with my card details so they cancelled the card!We are after U FRAUD!
Rio Ferdinand, @rioferdy5 on twitter has 3 million followers and was then teased a little by some of his fans.
