Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision near Thirsk.
It occurred at approximately at 5.30pm on Tuesday 19 June 2012, on the A167 one mile from Busby Stoop roundabout, near Breckenbrough Hall School. It involved four vehicles, a Proton Gen 2, a Land Rover Discovery and a Peugeot 206 heading towards Busby Stoop and a Fiat Doblo van heading towards Northallerton.
The Proton collided with the Fiat head-on before hitting the other cars.
As a result of the collision the 23-year-old local man driving the Fiat and the 21-year-old woman driving the Proton were airlifted to James Cook University Hospital with serious but non life threatening injuries.
No one in the other cars was seriously injured.
