A local gourmet coffee boutique has caught the attention of TV Dragon Theo Paphitis after coming up with a way to help businesses give their brands a caffeine boost.
The concept of enabling firms to create their own corporate coffee in branded tins led to Le Café Shop owner Patrick Joseph becoming one of the latest winners in Theo’s Small Business Sunday competition which recognises some of the UK’s brightest business ideas.
Each week Theo reviews and chooses six of his favourite enterprises or initiatives on Twitter and retweets the winning schemes. He has already given hundreds of UK entrepreneurs a leg up through the competition, which is known on Twitter as #SBS.
Patrick, who set up his online business Le Café Shop in 2008 said:
Theo has over 250,000 followers so being retweeted gives the chosen lucky businesses a massive boost in itself and the contest is so well followed that the knock on publicity is phenomenal.
Like all businesses I’m always looking for ways to promote my brand and I hope that the idea of giving businesses the chance to have their own blend of coffee in tins carrying their logo will prove to be a hit.
The retailer sells its own brand of French style gourmet coffee and a range of gifts, chocolates, coffee machines and accessories.
The latest venture, which attracted the Dragon’s Den star’s attention, marks a new direction into the corporate market for Le Café Shop and Patrick hopes the early recognition he has received will help the project take off.
