THE BATTLE OF GOOSE GREEN: A TALK BY PETER KENNEDY
29 May 2012 is the 30th anniversary of the Battle of Goose Green; the first decisive land battle of the Falklands War of 1982.
Follow the battle from the perspective of a Yorkshire-born paratrooper who fought in it. Peter Kennedy led the final attack at Goose Green to capture the last hill and the enemy flag on its summit. He was second in command of C Company 2 PARA, and took over the company in the closing stage of the battle when his company commander was wounded.
Understand how this close-run battle was fought, and experience the buzz and occasional terror of combat.
