Zero increase in number of new Businesses starting up in Harrogate

The results of a recent survey has shown no change in the rate of new Business starting up in Harrogate.

According to figures released for Yorkshire, some areas show up to a 11.4% increase during 2011 compared to 2010.

The latest data taken from a national BankSearch survey shows Harrogate has plateaued with no change, while Scarborough has seen a 1.2% drop

Out of all 15 Local Authorities in the region, Harrogate sits in the bottom third:

10. Bradford 1.4% more

11. Harrogate unchanged

12. Richmondshire unchanged

13. Barnsley 2.8% fewer

14. Wakefield 2.6% fewer

15. Scarborough 1.2% fewer
