The Little Red Bus, provider of integrated transport and delivery of community transport across North Yorkshire, welcomes John Harris, CBE as the new Chair of the Little Red Bus (Harrogate District Community Transport).
John, Deputy Lieutenant (South Yorkshire) has held a long and distinguished career with a variety of executive management roles in the Energy Industry.
He is currently Chair of the UK Energy Industry Coal Forum, chair of the Audit Committee of the Ministry of Defence Police and Guarding Agency, a member of the MDPGA Owners Advisory Board and the MDPG Agency Management Board. He is chair of The Art House, an inclusive visual arts charity and is chair of the Friends of Harrogate Theatre.
John brings enormous experience at this pivotal stage in moving the company forward to greater efficiencies reflecting an innovative and confident new era for the delivery of integrated passenger transport services.
He commented:

Neil Morrick has been appointed Chair of Commercial Operations and he says is looking forward to help Little Red Bus build up the portfolio of commercial services with a diverse range of partners. Neil has made a significant contribution to the motor industry over the years and more recently in a voluntary capacity his dynamic, proactive style has benefited several local not for profit organisations.
Two Trustees members have retired, Cllr Jim Clark said:
I’m very pleased that John Harris is the new Chair and he brings enormous expertise to the role. I’ve very much enjoyed working as both Treasurer and for a short time, Chair at the Little Red Bus – it’s a valuable resource for the communities of Harrogate and North Yorkshire and I wish it every success in the future.
Peter Fryer has been a Trustee for 6 years and welcomes the new Trustees to Little Red Bus to guide the company in delivering integrated passenger transport services in an extremely competitive environment.
