One of the region’s leading renewable energy companies has taken on six new employees to cope with a massive surge in homes and businesses installing green power.
Harrogate-based Clean Energy (Yorkshire) has seen orders rise by a massive 700 per cent over the last 12 months, and in order to cope with demand, it has upped its workforce.

The company, started by husband and wife team Spencer and Tamsin Cassidy, is located at Pannal Business Park and now employs nearly 30 people based all over the region.
Its clients include local authorities, homeowners, landlords, landowners and famers.
The new employees are Natasha Ball, who has joined the sales and marketing function. Phillip Rouse and Kyle Clark have become key members of the installation team. Steve Wright and David Horswill are bolstering the surveying department and graduate recruit Alice Fitzgerald is supporting the head office team.
Clean Energy (Yorkshire) Managing Director Spencer Cassidy said:
In January we forecasted our business would grow by 300 per cent. This was significantly off the mark as it is currently running at 700 per cent.
As a result of this growth we have had to increase our workforce to help cope with demand. Three years ago there were just two of us. Now, with the arrival of these six, we are up to just under 30.
In addition to helping the region reduce its carbon emissions, and householders slash their heating bills, we are providing much needed employment opportunities.
Renewable energy is very much a growth industry and we are looking forward to welcoming these six to the team.
