Acceleris Marketing Communications Appointed To Run Integrated Communications Campaign For Used Car WebsAward-winning Yorkshire based PR agency, Acceleris Marketing Communications, has further added to its extensive portfolio of motoring sector clients with its appointment by used car website, Trusted Dealers, to run an integrated communications campaign spanning consumer, trade and social media.
The Trusted Dealers website, which is backed by 40 of the UK’s top franchised dealer groups, aims to bring together some of the most respected names in the motoring industry to provide a safe place for motorists to buy a car. Launched in January 2011, the website is visited by over 300,000 people every month and features a ‘10 point difference’ to reassure car buyers and includes free of charge theft, outstanding finance and write offs checks on every car.
As well as delivering traditional and online PR support to Trusted Dealers, Acceleris has also been appointed to run the company’s Scambusters campaign which has been designed to protect motorists and help to raise standards in the used car industry by identifying and exposing rogue operators and conmen. Motorists can report suspicious traders through a dedicated webpage to help warn other drivers of unscrupulous practices. Details of any scams will then be passed to the Office of Fair Trading and the Police.

In recent months the Acceleris team has devised and implemented integrated communications campaigns for the UK’s leading fuel card reseller, The Fuelcard Company, Knaresborough based car dealership group, Vantage Toyota as well as leading classified websites.
Acceleris Director and Head of PR, Louise Vaughan, said:
As an agency we have successfully built up a strong portfolio of motoring industry clients and I am delighted that the strength of this has led to our latest appointment by Trusted Dealers. We have increasing demand from clients for a fully integrated approach to communications spanning traditional media, online and social media strategies. We look forward to delivering an effective campaign for Trusted Dealers.
Neil Addley, managing director of Trusted Dealers said:
We chose to work with Acceleris because of the agency’s unrivalled experience within the motoring sector. Through a carefully structured campaign we hope to promote the benefits of working with our ‘trusted dealers’ and reduce the risks that many car buyers face when dealing with rogue traders and individual private sellers.
Launched in December 2006, Acceleris has recorded revenues in excess of £5 million to date. The agency has also worked with large brands such as Sainsbury’s, McDonald’s, Orange and Starbucks and is the current Chartered Institute of Public Relations ‘Outstanding PR Consultancy of the Year’ for Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.
