Police in Harrogate have made a number of arrests in connection with the investigation into the fire that occurred at the Valley Gardens play park during the early hours of Saturday morning.
The individuals are currently assisting officers with their enquiries.

This act of vandalism horrifies us all and members and officers of Harrogate Borough Council will do all we can to help the police to catch the culprits.
We will also explore all options to step up vigilance in Valley Gardens.

These vandals should be made to foot the bill for the damage and repair of the Play Equipment. They should also be made to work on the project to rebuilt it under supervision and instruction by qualified tradesmen and pay for their time. My granson who loves the area now has to wait to see what happens for the future.
