Officers from North Yorkshire Police are currently at the scene of a serious road traffic collision on the A64 near Stockton on the Forest.
It occurred today (Wednesday 28 September 2011) at approximately 11.40am on the eastbound carriageway near to the Highwayman Café and involved two cars, a Vauxhall and a Mazda. There are currently no details of the occupants of the cars or the extent of their injuries.
The road has been closed and diversions put in place at the Towthorpe crossroads and Hopgrove roundabout. The diversions are likely to be in place for some time.
