Following the disorder at Tuesday night’s match between Leeds United and Manchester United, a total of 14 men have been charged with offences and are due to appear at Leeds Magistrates’ Court between the 4th and 6th October.
The men, who are aged between 19 and 58, are charged with offences including Drunk and Disorderly, Throwing A Missile onto the Playing Field, Ticket Touting, Public Order, Indecent/Racial Chanting, Possession of a Class B Drug.
Three men aged 27, 38, and 40 were released on police bail after being arrested on suspicion of Public Order offences.
A 23-year-old man received a Fixed Penalty Notice for being Drunk and Disorderly.
Two 16-year-old boys received Reprimands for Public Order offences.
Four men aged 19, 23, 45 and 46 who were arrested on suspicion of Making Off Without Payment were later released without charge in connection with this offence. However, the 45-year-old received a Caution for a Public Order offence.
Officers are continuing enquiries into the disorder, including studying hundreds of hours of CCTV footage, and anticipate making more arrests over the coming weeks.
