Hinckley United will be Harrogate Town’s hosts on Saturday for a Blue Square Bet North fixture.
Hinckley started their season last Saturday with a 3-0 defeat at Guiseley, but on Monday evening recorded a 3-0 win against Gainsborough Trinity at their Greene King Stadium home.
Harrogate Town have previously played Hinckley away from home on seven occasions. Town won the first four meetings, but have lost the last three. The heaviest defeat was last season, Town going down 4-0 on 14 February 2011. Last season’s match between the two clubs at the CNG Stadium ended as a 2-2 draw.
Harrogate Manager Simon Weaver said:
This will be a good test as Hinckley won their last home game 3-0, on Monday night.
and a great opportunity to show everyone what we are made of following the frustration of losing in the final minute on Tuesday night against Stalybridge Celtic.
The players are looking fitter and stronger in every game and we are learning all the time about the characters in the changing room.
We are now looking for the more experienced players to dominate games and lead by example and for the younger players to keep learning and improving.
We want to be solid and keep a clean sheet, but also offer the same attacking threat as we did in the second half against Stalybridge.
