Police have today arrested two men, aged 20 years and 25 years from Leeds in connection with the shooting of a 34-year old man in the Savile Place area of Chapeltown at around 6.40pm on 8 August, they are currently in police custody.
The 34 year old local taken to LGI with serious injuries following the incident remains in a critical condition.
Enquiries are ongoing and police are appealing for anyone with information on the shooting to contact them. DCI Lisa Griffin of West Yorkshire Police’s Homicide and Major Enquiry Team said: “We now have two men in custody in connection with this incident and our investigation is moving forward positively.
“However we are still appealing for witnesses to contact us and are particularly appealing for a white woman who we understand saw the shooting incident take place, to contact us as she could hold vital information that could help us.
