Harrogate Town AFC have released a statement around their first match with spectators since lockdown.
Harrogate Town AFC said:
The club has this morning met with the local Safety Advisory Group (SAG) and had positive dialogue with all of the relevant authorities.
We now await formal confirmation that the ‘test event’ on Saturday can go ahead as planned to allow entry for our 2020-21 Season Ticket deposit purchasers. No general sale tickets are available for this fixture.
The ticket office have been working to make contact with each Season Ticket deposit purchaser, to establish if they wish to attend the fixture on Saturday, should we be permitted to, and would like to thank everyone for their prompt feedback and responses.
It is important that we can confirm an accurate database of attendees, to ensure we satisfy guidelines such as track and trace, and ensure that the event runs in a COVID safe manner. The ticket office have also established the ‘bubbles’ that people will be attending in, in line with government guidelines, to maximise capacity and improve the matchday experience for those who can and wish to attend together.
We would like to remind Season Ticket deposit purchasers that our phone lines are extremely busy, and that the most efficient way to contact us is via email to tickets@harrogatetownafc.com , and to those few who we have not yet heard back from, to please confirm if you wish to attend at your earliest opportunity to avoid disappointment.
Whilst we still await formal confirmation from the relevant authorities, we will be releasing further updates via email, on our website and social media channels with key information for those attending the ‘test event’ on Saturday. This will include where to enter the ground, the procedures in place whilst inside the stadium, and plans to egress following the final whistle. We will also be issuing a Supporters ‘Code of Conduct’, that by entering the ground, those attending will be confirming acceptance of.
We will be issuing all of those Season Ticket Deposit purchasers who have indicated they wish to attend, with an e-ticket on Friday 4th December, subject to the aforementioned approval. Supporters will not receive a paper ticket or use a season ticket card. Instead, they will use a mobile ticket on their smartphone or print their ticket from home. Tickets will contain both a barcode and QR code to scan at the turnstiles. Please note that there will be no facility for the club to reprint any tickets on the day of the game.
We would like to thank our supporters for their continued patience, and we hope to be able to provide confirmation and positive news in due course.
