Harrogate Town AFC are excited to confirm some key changes within the Operations Team, with Abbey Smith promoted to Head of Football Operations and Hamilton Mattock appointed the club’s first ever Fan Engagement Manager.
Having initially been appointed Club Secretary in June 2021, Abbey has worked tirelessly over the past 14 months, making an outstanding contribution to the club across the board.
As well as taking the role of Head of Football Operations, Abbey has been selected as one of two EFL Club nominated FA Council representatives for this season having been voted in by fellow clubs.
As part of this role, Abbey will represent the EFL at the highest level attending numerous meetings at Wembley as well as other venues to contribute and challenge important decisions which affect the industry.
With the club’s ambitions to grow the fan base, increase fan engagement and improve the matchday experience, we are delighted to have appointed Hamilton Mattock as the club’s first Fan Engagement Manager.
This new role allows the club to work more closely with Junior Clubs, schools, organisations as well as our own Community Foundation.
Having been involved with the club for over 15 years, Hamilton has formed trusted relationship with all supporters, and will be integral in ensuring fans feel heard, valued and communicated with.
As a result of this new role, Harrogate Town AFC will be advertising to recruit a new Ticket Manager, details of which can be found at www.harrogatetownafc.com
Congratulations to both Abbey and Hamilton for securing their new roles.
