Harrogate Town AFC have said they are delighted to announce the signing of former Reading midfielder Tyler Frost.
Frost had been on trial with the club, netting our opening goal in last weekend’s 3-1 victory over Gateshead and now puts pen to paper on a six month contract ahead of the 2022/23 season.
The 23-year-old had spent the last two seasons in League Two with Crawley Town, appearing against Simon Weaver’s side on multiple occasions.
Broadfield Stadium became Frost’s home after leaving his hometown club Reading, where Frost had played since age 15, with a brief loan at National League Havant & Waterlooville the right sided player’s only other club.
Frost said:
I’m delighted to be here, I was really keen to get it done, I really enjoyed my trial here and can’t wait to kick on now.
I came here on trial to impress and give it my all and I did as well as I could, but there’s definitely more to come.
I want to get forward as much as possible and try to put good quality deliveries into the box, hopefully get a goal or two, but as long as I’m doing my bit for the team that’s the main thing.
I feel I’ve created good links with a couple of the players, I’m grateful for the opportunity to continue playing in League Two and the aim now is to continue impressing and earn myself an extended deal here.
Simon Weaver had this to say on what his 11th new recruit of the transfer window could offer…
Simon said:
We think he’s got a lot of potential, he plays with drive, energy and we wanted that element in the squad to be able to play with real attacking flair and excitement.
In training he’s been a breathe of fresh air, constantly on the front foot and we’re excited about bringing him in.
Tyler will wear the number 19 at the club and is available for Saturday’s opening fixture against Swindon.
