Disability Action Yorkshire, a local charity that provides services that support disabled people to live more independently in Yorkshire can now use a Smart Board to hold interactive lessons and sessions with groups both in the classroom and working remotely, thanks to a £3,800 donation from the Morrisons Foundation.
The funding boost will allow tutors to accommodate different learning styles with the use of the Smart Board. Following a reduction in voluntary income as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, The charity reached out to the charitable arm of the supermarket for support to purchase this specialist piece of equipment.

We are so grateful to the Morrisons Foundation for the funding for a Smart Board. It is going to make a real difference to the training we deliver to young disabled people both in the classroom and remotely. Our aim is to get disabled people into paid employment and this will really help.
