Amanda Bloor of the CCG described hospitals as “extremely busy” and that they had re-deployed staff within hospitals and postponed some procedures.
Separately to this meeting we have been looking to verify how busy hospitals. To do that we have requested information around the current bed capacity of each hospital, the number of those beds taken up with Covid-19 patients and the number of spare beds. Both Harrogate Hospital and the CCG have refused to provide details of the current bed capacities and the number of free beds. That refusal has been by declining email requests for the information and refusal to provide that data as part of an FOI request.
