Injury hit Harrogate Town slipped to a disappointing 5-2 home defeat to Scunthorpe United.
Simon Weaver made one change from Saturday’s line up with Connor Kirby replacing the suspended Kevin Lokko.
Town went behind on 16 minutes when,although, James Belshaw made a good save to keep out Emmanuel Onariase’s
Effort from a left wing corner,the ball was ruled to have crossed the line.
Jack Muldoon restored parity ten minutes before the break,when he rifled home from Mark Beck’s powerful knockdown,but the “Iron”restored their lead just before the break through Abo Eisa .
Although Brendan Kiernan replaced Kirby at half time,Town’s fortunes didn’t improve.
On the hour,Muldoon was harshly penalised for an alleged handball in the area and Eisa scored his second from the penalty spot.
With fifteen minutes left,Scunthorpe increased their lead through Ryan Loft who scored when Town were caught on the counter.
Aaron Jarvis made it five in the last minute,but there was just time for Connor Hall to net a late consolation for Town.
Town have an early chance to restore their fortunes when they host Forest Green Rovers on Saturday.
