Young people currently in Year 11 and their families are being invited to Rossett School’s Sixth Form Information Evening, which is being held online for the first time this year.
The virtual event will feature a welcome from the Head of Sixth Form, Dr Claire Reed, followed by presentations from other members of the Sixth Form Leadership Team and Student Leadership Team. Topics will include life in the Sixth Form, pastoral and welfare support, progression and post-18 support, and the provision on offer for students who are academically more able or aiming to join other Rossett alumni at Oxbridge.
In addition, current Year 12 and 13 students will give a flavour of their own experience of Sixth Form as well as answering some frequently asked questions.
Dr Reed said:
We are excited to take our Information Evening online and give prospective students and their carers an insight into our brilliant Sixth Form, and offer them the chance to meet members of our leadership and student teams.”
The virtual Sixth Form presentation follows the success earlier this term of Rossett School’s Open Day, which was held online via a live stream event.
Headteacher Helen Woodcock said:
At a time when we are unable to welcome visitors through our doors in person, hosting virtual presentations is a fantastic alternative. It worked really well for our Open Day in September, and I’m sure the Sixth Form Information Evening will be just as successful.
The Sixth Form Information Evening takes place online on Thursday, December 3, at 6pm. To watch, visit www.rossettschool.co.uk. It will also be available to view afterwards on the school’s website.
