In what will be a big photography weekend in Harrogate, budding photographers and non photographers will be inspired by the opening of a free exhibition at St Peter’s Church, coinciding with the first Photo North Festival at the Harrogate Convention Centre.
Harrogate Photographic Society’s annual exhibition titled ’YORKSHIRE’ will show some of the Society’s award winning, inspiring and creative images at St Peter’s Church, Harrogate from Friday 9th to Sunday 18th November.
Centre stage will be a display of specially enlarged award winning canvas picture prints, and the exhibition will show some stunning photographs of people, places and all things Yorkshire
The Society, which is celebrating its 96th year, is now one of the largest in Yorkshire and continues to attract new members from absolute beginners to professionals.
Mike Hudson, the society’s exhibition co-ordinator, said:
We are looking forward to building on the success of last year’s exhibition at St Peter’s Church.
Last year we presented images showcasing a selection of the best of our members’ recent work; this year our team have worked hard to present a range of photographs that focus on many aspects of Yorkshire. We believe the exhibition will enthuse and inspire anyone with an interest in photography.
I welcome all who want to further their own photography to come to the exhibition and see what Harrogate Photographic Society does, and join our membership. Our 2018-2019 season started in September and continues until April.
The exhibition commences at 12 noon on Friday 9th November and will be open every day until Sunday 18th November
Harrogate Photographic Society members will be on hand to answer questions about the photographs on display, about the society.
