Police say they received a report at 17:10 on 29 October of a truck damaging a number of vehicles in the area of Kings Road, Grange Avenue and Unity Grove as it drove along the street.
The driver of the vehicle, a 35-year-old man from Harrogate, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of drink driving and driving while unfit through drugs. He is currently in police custody.
Officers are working to establish the number of vehicles that were damaged, at this stage they have received reports relating to 12 vehicles.
